He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. Psalm 23:2

Good Sunday morning, friends!

The other day we were driving along the road to run errands in town and as we were going over a bridge that spans a little river, I was able to photograph it. The water was still and reflected the dormant trees and wild grasses growing by it. I chose this bible verse in the Psalms to fit the scene.

Psalm 23 is quoted many times, and you have probably seen it printed on many things. It has calming words and speaks of the Lord as the Shepherd of His people. It is a Psalm of David as he talks of his confidence in God and the faithfulness of the Lord who leads us through life. We have our ups and downs and even stressful moments, but we can count on God to guide us through it. This is a good Psalm to read in the good times and the bad times. He is with His children all the days of our lives.

May your week have moments of stillness in His word.

Today’s Prayer:

My Father in heaven, help us this week to remember You have the wisdom to lead us through the stress of this world, help us to guide others toward You and to relish the calm that You provide. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
