Saving Grace of Jesus Christ
God does not hear the prayer of a person who has not
accepted His Son, Jesus Christ, into their heart and life. He sent Jesus to
this earth in order to redeem humankind back to Him, the Creator. He did this
because of His love for us and to give us eternal life with Him in heaven. If
you know Him, you know that He is good, righteous and merciful.
If you do not know Him but would like to have the assurance of living in heaven
forever (a wonderful and peaceful place), please read on…
- You
must agree with God that you are a sinner (Sin is a word that describes
the wrong things we do – against God’s commandments,). The bible states we
cannot have a relationship with God in our state of sin. “For all
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans
3:23). “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your
sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear”
Isaiah 59:2
- Because
of this sin we are condemned to spiritual death (Separation from God). God
cannot allow sin in His presence and this means a judgment of eternity in
Hell (a place of total misery where the flame and fire are never quenched,
completely separated from God). “For the wages (payment) of
sin is death” (Romans 6:23). “ . . . it is appointed unto men once to
die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
- But
God in His lovingkindness made a way for us not to be separated from Him.
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the payment for us. “ . . He (God)
made Him (Jesus), Who knew no sin to be sin for us .
. . that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2
Corinthians 5:21).
- Jesus
sacrificed Himself on the Cross for us, He bled and died to pay for our
sin. “ . . . without the shedding of blood there is no remission (pardon)”
(Hebrews 9:22).
- He is
our substitute for what we owe. “ . . . God commends His love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans
5:8).
- Jesus
rose on the 3rd day after His death. This is the promise we have in Him,
that we (who believe and have accepted His free gift of saving grace) will
one day rise to be with Him in heaven. “He is not here; for He
is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay”.
(Matthew 28:6)
After reading the above statements and what the Bible says about sin, do you
believe it? Would you like to be saved from eternal separation from God and
thus repent of your sins (turn away from doing wrong)? The good news is that
God loves you and wants you to be with Him as well. The following will help you
do this:
Ask God to forgive you of your sins and tell Him you believe that the Lord
Jesus is the Christ. Tell Him that you believe Jesus came to die for you, that
He was buried and that He rose on the 3rd day. Pray this to God in your own
words and mean it in your heart. He will be faithful to grant you salvation -
eternal life in heaven.
If you have prayed this salvation prayer, please get a Holy Bible and read it.
The New Testament/Gospel of John is a good starting place. It is important that
you attend a Bible believing/teaching church to learn more about God and to be
in fellowship with other children of God. Ask God to lead you in finding your
church. I pray blessings to you in your born again life!
