Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
Hello friends!
We have had a few days of beautiful weather, and I am thankful for that. Before all the snow melted away, there was still some ice in our birdbath with a smidge of water at the edges – enough for the birds to find it in their search for moisture. This photograph is of a pretty Northern Flicker bird that stopped in and stood on the ice while it got water nourishment from the edge.
I put this wonderful verse from the book of Hebrews for a word picture of how God gives us grace when we seek Him, through prayers and reading His word. Jesus Christ made it possible for us, as God’s children, to pray where we are and as the prayers of His children go up to the throne room in heaven, they are heard and answered. Jesus knows our struggles and emotions as He experienced them when here on earth and He controlled them in His perfect manner. Sometimes our prayers are not answered the way we think they should be (especially for mini-control freaks like me!). God knows what is best for us and when we trust His plan for our lives, we are given that grace to withstand any trials and temptations that may befall us. Life is hard at times, but God is greater than this tent we live in and I surely need to be reminded of that, pretty much daily!
May your days be filled with finding grace and giving mercy to others as He gives it out to us freely.
