Happy Resurrection Day, friends!

A glorious day to give extra praises to our Lord. This photograph is from a hazy day a couple years ago when I noticed a spectral ring around the sun. It fully encircled the sun, and I photographed it from the side as I did not want to point my lens directly into the sun and ruin my camera! But I got this side view of it, which is called a Solar Halo. I also added a sun flared cross shape to it for added drama for this special day.

This bible verse from the book of John gives us confidence in our hope. The word of Jesus here tells us His promise. We believers are safe. As the ring encapsulated the sun in my photograph, God seals us from the evils of this world. We are assured of an everlasting life at the end of this age because Jesus has risen from the death He suffered on the cross (on the third day), this day we celebrate as Easter-Resurrection Sunday. The phenomenon of a Solar Halo is a reminder to me of the creation of the universe by the Lord and when I take a moment to notice His beautiful nature, it always gives me a prompt for praise to Him.

May your week be filled with the splendor of who God is and for praise for His gift of life.

Prayer for the day:

Father in Heaven, on this day we remember and celebrate an awesome gift of life - as our Lord Jesus rose from the dead, we also will rise from death to life everlasting and we give you the praise and glory for Your supreme love. In the name of Jesus we pray, Lord of lords, King of kings. Amen.
