And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. Acts 1:7
Good morning, all!
Wow, the beginning of last week had some big storms and lots of rain, but it is good for our lakes and flora. The blue flowers in one of our raised flower beds are blooming out and bringing butterflies to the area. These flowers come back in bloom every year. One day I saw this beautiful scene of God’s nature and thought about how the seasons are always on time with blooms and butterflies. These butterflies are mostly American Lady butterflies.
Speaking of seasons, I chose this verse from the book of Acts for today. The apostles were asking the resurrected Lord about when His kingdom would be restored, thinking it would be in their time, but Jesus reminded them that we didn’t need to know that. We just need to be faithful to be witnesses to all that the Lord has done for us. They were told that they would have the Holy Spirit and the power to witness (tell people who Jesus is and has done). We believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit as well; He gives us guidance and shows us the truth of His word, which we can share with others. Sharing His love and what He did to save our souls is a type of commandment - we just need to be open to the opportunities put before us and share as He leads us.
May this season of renewal be a catalyst to strengthen your faith and share your peace.
Prayer for today:
Heavenly Father, we praise you for the little things in your creation that remind us that You are always in control, and we ask You to give us strength of faith and help us to share Your love with others. In the name of Jesus, we pray this. Amen
