In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3
Hello, all!
The other day I was sitting out on our back deck just looking at the flowers in the raised deck garden and watching birds come to the bird feeder that was hanging behind it. The Painted Buntings are back in the area and this beautiful one stopped in to grab a seed. The bold colors of these birds are striking, and it makes me happy to see them and grateful to God for letting me see such a colorful bird.
The fearlessness of this bird standing out wherever he goes made me search for a bible verse about boldness. This Psalm, by David, talks of the Lord’s goodness to His faithful children. When we come to the Lord with the confidence that He hears us, we trust that He will answer us with peace in our hearts and strength to endure whatever this life throws at us. We may not get the answers that we think they should be, but the prayers we lift up to God will be heard by Him because we have put our faith in Jesus Christ and we know that no matter what happens on earth, we are His and our souls are held forever in His hands.
May your prayers be in faith and may your souls be strengthened this week.
Prayer for today:
God in heaven, we are thankful today for Your love, grace and mercy to us and as we look to You for peace in our hearts, please give us the strength to share love and grace to others. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Gaby
p.s Happy Mother’s Day as we honor and remember our mothers today.
